The Plainfield School of
Music is an educational resource for aspiring musicians
in the southwest suburbs, located in historic downtown Plainfield
at 709 Lockport Road. We're here to help you make music, and
offer a compelling alternative to lessons at a standard retail
location, or "traveling teachers." We're family
oriented, and family operated. Now accepting students for
guitar, bass, and drums. Call or e-mail for available openings.
The PSoM is not a music store.
We do not sell instruments. The only thing we'll sell you
is hard work. This philosophy eliminates any sales or shopping
environment--we don't believe that your instructor should
also be your instrument salesman. We can generally offer
our students (or their parents, as the case may be) unbiased
assistance in selecting appropriate musical equipment at appropriate
prices elsewhere.
We do offer setup
and maintenance for many musical instruments,
and can offer instruction on the care and
maintenance of instruments for new musicians and students
who wish to DIY.
